Mel Brook’s

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

A U D I T I O N  C A L L

Synopsis: IT’S ALIVE! A wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend based on Mel Brooks’ classic 1974 comedy film masterpiece, the story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather’s masterwork and bring a corpse to life. But this musical comedy hit, winner of the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award, is not without scary and hilarious complications. The show includes such memorable tunes as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and the famous “Puttin’ On The Ritz.”

Performances will be at Migration Community Hall in Kingsville from October 16th through October 25th. Rehearsals begin April 26th.

Auditions will be at Migration Hall on Monday, April 13th and Thursday, April 16th from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Additional auditions and a movement audition will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, April 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The director is none other than Joel Lewsaw.

Please prepare a song of your choice which highlights your vocal range. Bring written music for accompanist, as well as a track on CD. A cappella is discouraged. If you are auditioning for a lead role your song choice must be from the show. Callbacks will consist of cold readings from the script and more work with music from the show.

Please make audition appointment: info@migrationhall.com or (519) 733-6200. Visit us on Facebook and at www.migrationhall.com .
